Deadheading Info

Every summer from June through September, FLAG sponsors Saturday morning deadheading sessions to help keep the rose gardens looking their best. Garden tools and pruning instructions are provided. It's easy! Join your neighbors for 20 minutes or an hour, whatever your schedule allows.

Check out the deadheading schedule, or just keep an eye out for the sign in Ladd Circle that points to the garden we will be working in each week.

Did you know there are over 3,000 rose bushes in Ladd's Addition?

The Portland Parks Bureau assigns only one gardener (plus a small crew) to maintain them all. Thus, volunteer help during the summer season is critical to ensuring each rose bed receives the care it needs and deserves.
